HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE!

I feel like in my many years of reading random books across many genres, I have encountered a couple of characters that have ruffled my feathers. Generally, I consider myself a pretty lenient reader and I rate books fairly lax. But once in a blue moon, I will meet a character that irritates me. Honestly, if I could meet these characters in real life, I may have given them a smack down already. Now, all of these mini rants are my own personal feelings toward those characters. If you love them, that is great for you! I'm not here to pick a fight with anyone and I don't want you guys to hate me because I hate some fictional character. <3 <3 <3

Anime Review: Kakegurui

Where to Watch: Netflix

Episodes: 12

Genres: Drama, Game, Mystery, Psychological, and School

Rating: 8/10 This anime wasn't what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. This anime is also for 17+ viewers as well, so keep that in mind! 

Book Review: The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

Author: Julie Kagawa

Series: Yes - Book #3 in The Iron Fey series.

Cover: This cover has my least two favorite things for covers. One, the color pink and two, a model in the front. 

Rating: 3/5 I had high hopes for book #3, but unfortunately, I still don't think the series is my cup of tea. Book #3 is MUCH better than Book #2, but it is still a 3/5 for me.

Book Review: Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh

Series: Yes - Book #1 in Reign of the Fallen series.

Cover: I LOVE THE COVER. Absolutely gorgeous. I love the empty space around the skull with the title wrapped around it.

Rating: 2.5/5 This might be one of the lowest ratings I've done for a book in a really long time.

Book Review: Roar by Cora Carmack

Author: Cora Carmack

Series: Yes - Book #1 in the Stormheart series.

Cover: Ehhh... Not my cup of tea. I do enjoy the title of the book and the reason behind that title!

Rating: 4/5 This book could have been a 5/5 for me if it weren't for the romance. Other than that, I absolutely adored the world of the Stormheart series. It is something different that I haven't read before in other books!

Rating: 8/10 This is an anime where the "three episodes" rule apply. Once I was through with the introductions and basics of this anime, I was completely hooked. I think I finished this series within two days lol...

 

YA Books With Male Protagonists?

Hello everyone, happy Monday!

Sorry for the absence this week. I've had an extremely busy week and I didn't even get any reading time done. I'm only 40% through with Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh. I even had to return the library book and renew it again lol... Anyway, this blog post is just me asking you readers out there, what are some good YA books that have males as the main character? I feel like 90% of all YA books I've read are by female authors or have female leads. I'd love some recommendations of male authors in YA as well!
