My Favorite Heroes and Heroines!

Friday, March 30, 2018

Happy Friday everyone!

A common situation in many Young Adult novels is the need for a hero/heroine to save their world. Every book has a different situation that calls for different heroes. Majority of the time, the hero is usually the protagonist of the book or series. In this post, I will list my favorite heroes that I've read about so far. They're not in any particular order. I hope you all will enjoy the read!

Games That I Am Currently Playing~

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I'm sort of a person that is all over the place. I love to read, bake, play video games, etc. When I'm not reading, studying, or watching Netflix, you'll see me playing video games. So, this post is basically a little blurb to see if anyone is also playing the games that I'm playing. I know this isn't book related, but it is a fantastic way for you all to know a little bit more about me and hopefully I can know a bit more about you!

Books/Series That I Want to Be Made Into a Movie or TV Series

Saturday, March 24, 2018

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday~

There are always so many books that are made into movies these days. Some are good, and some are bad, but it's okay! Here is a list of books/series that I want to be made into either a TV show or movie. It's always fun to imagine the characters in your head, but I think it can be fun to see them on the big screen as well. Here are six books/series that I want to be turned into a film!

1. Gallagher Girls Series

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1)

My Favorite Books Ever (As of March 21st, 2018)

Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Since I've read many books in the past that I don't remember enough to write full reviews for, I figured I'll post a list of my favorite books/series. You can also check out more of other books that I've read on my Goodreads account. There are many many many series that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, I can't write them all out here on this post. For now, I'll list six of my favorites and maybe in the future I'll list more.

1. Percy Jackson and The Olympians / The Heroes of Olympus Series

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)     The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1)

Book Review: The Hidden by Jessica Verday

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

Author: Jessica Verday
Series: Yes - Book #3 in The Hollow series. Final book.
Cover: At first, I didn't have a care for the cover, but after finishing the book, the cover is absolutely fitting. The entire series have nice and simple covers. I think the cover is appropriate to the story and it's a really sweet symbol.
Rating: 3.5/5 for this book and 4/5 for the series. I love this series, but I do have to say I don't know how I feel about the ending. This is definitely a delightful book in terms of writing style. The ending just did not sit well for me.

The Hidden (The Hollow, #3)

My Six Favorite Disney Movies!

Sunday, March 18, 2018

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day yesterday if you celebrated it :)

Now, I know this is ANOTHER blog post that isn't a book review, but no worries! Book review will be coming out this week for sure. I just enjoy writing about random things in general. Also, this isn't a topic that I have discussed with anyone before, so I wanted to at least let SOMEONE read it. I have always been a Disney lover and collected VHS tapes of the movies when I was younger. These are my six favorite movies that are in no particular order.

1. Tangled (2010)

Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Pi Day yesterday :)

Now, I noticed that with many blogs, there is usually a profile picture that is present to show readers who they're reading from. I know that it isn't required to have a profile picture, but if you ask for blog advice (which I did) many of them would say "put a picture on your blog." I'm currently not confident enough to put my face on my blog quite yet. I probably will in the future, but for now, I commissioned an "avatar" or "face" for my blog and I hope it is good enough. And here is the piece:

Baking Fail Or Success? - Banana Bread

Monday, March 12, 2018

Happy Monday everyone!

So yesterday, I realized I had eight bananas that were overripe and no one else in my family is going to touch them. So, I decided that I should use them for baking. I usually make banana muffins because they're small, easy cleaning, and easy to pack. Since I didn't have classes this week, I thought I'd try to make banana bread. I used allrecipes' Banana Banana Bread recipe because it looks like the easiest one without the need of yeast. Here's the result:

Book Review: Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting

Saturday, March 10, 2018

Author: Kimberly Derting
Series: Yes - Book #4 in The Body Finder series. Final book (?????).
Cover: The cover throughout this series have been simple and perfect. In a way, the one colored flower is this series' echo. If I had to change anything, it would have to be the color of the flower because it looks similar to book #2.
Rating: 5/5 Hello????? This can't be the last book in the series. I need to know more about everything in Violet's life. Please tell me there's more to this. It can't end like this.

Dead Silence (The Body Finder, #4)

Review: Gosh... Where do I even start. It's been years since I started reading this series and I found it amazing that I was still able to jump back into the book and remember everything that happened. Derting has completely captured my attention with this series. This can't be last book in the series. It simply can't. I refuse to accept this!

~ Anime I Am Watching Currently ~

Friday, March 9, 2018

Hello everyone!

This is different from my book review blogs, but I wanted to add something onto my blog that is more than just book reviews. I love watching anime ever since I was a little kid. Although I don't watch every single anime that is recommended on Crunchyroll, I do occasionally find a couple shows that hook me in. So far, for the past two months, I have been following three series.

Book Review: The Crown by Kiera Cass

Thursday, March 1, 2018

Author: Kiera Cass
Series: Yes - Book #5 in The Selection. Final Book.
Cover: As said before, I'm not a fan of models on the cover. That being said, I think this might be my least favorite cover out of the series. My favorite cover in the selection series is The One.
Rating: 3/5 I believe The Selection should have been a trilogy. Book 4 & 5 should have been small novellas instead. I felt as if this book dragged on and on until the very last 50 pages. This is going to be a long review.
